Igor Sound recorder Igor sound recorder is designed to record sporadic vocalizations produced by animals but can be used to record any relatively short sound event. A pre-trigger time buffer is provided so that vocalization's onset is recorded. In addition, post-trigger time buffer (during which re-triggering can occur) assures that the whole sound signal is recorded. The time buffer (Window) used for triggering can also be filtered (using selected FIR filter coefficients) so that unwanted extraneous sound is less likely to produce a trigger event.
